Steering Committee
A steering committee mainly makes strategic decisions concerning future realization of a specific plan: e.g. an enterprise’s investment projects. It is responsible for the management and monitoring of a long-term plan or project, which means that it controls the realization of the project at the strategic level, verifies the project’s coherence with established aims, and keeps established frames such as range, costs and deadlines. Should any changes in the project happen, they must be first presented and accepted by a member of the steering committee. The steering committee assesses and accepts the changes by means of consensus. It deals also with coordination and coherence with other realized projects. The steering committee often creates working groups and chooses experts, with whom the enterprise will work to realize the project. The manager of a project is accountable for a project in front of the committee. –source

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I cannot believe this day is here! I emailed Delnita a huge congratulations on graduating. Then I watched the video. As you know I am the president of the cry baby club and so, as a result, I cried throughout the entire movie! I was overcome with feelings of Joy, pride, excitement and many others for Delnita's journey - past, present & future! WOW!!!

Delnita, I clearly remember the day a decade ago, May 7, 2005, when Dr. Martin and I were introduced to you and your mother by Lateefah at the BSSO Banquet. Our Miss Betty, then President of the BSSO, graciously honored me with a beautiful award as an Honorary Member of the BSSO. Wow! Words Matter!
The fact is, Delnita, you will soon discover a multitude of faithful BSSO Alumni, acamedicians and community leaders from coast to coast who will assist, advise, encourage and contribute in positive ways that will surprise you. You will witness our peers make clear choices as they recalibrate their purpose in life, regenerate their sense of duty and reinvest their commitment in the BSSO.
